It was just a few years ago that conservatives claimed that former President Barack Obama was trying to indoctrinate children by giving a back-to-school speech. Fast forward to the present time and we have a Republican candidate teaching children how to ‘build’ Donald Trump’s ego-wall with blocks in his new campaign ad. Ron DeSantis (R), a Florida gubernatorial candidate, released the bizarre ad on Monday which also features his wife.
“Everyone knows my husband Ron DeSantis is endorsed by President Trump,” DeSantis’s wife, Casey, says at the beginning of the ad. “But he’s also an amazing Dad. Ron loves playin’ with the kids.”
Then, Ron DeSantis says, “build the wall” as his child stacks the toy blocks. Because the ad doesn’t suck enough, apparently, DeSantis also reads “The Art of The Deal” to a child and teaches another kid how to talk by saying “Make America Great Again.”
“People say Ron is all Trump, but he is so much more, I just thought you should know,” Casey DeSantis says at the end of the campaign ad.
Noticeably absent in the ad is the apparently little-known fact among Trump supporters that Mexico is supposed to pay for the wall.
DeSantis will face state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam in the Republican primary. One of Trump’s biggest supporters, Attorney General Pam Bondi, is backing Putnam.
“I fought hard to elect President Trump and I’m supporting Adam Putnam for Governor,” Bondi says in an ad for Putnam. “Adam will stand with President Trump to get tough on illegal immigration, ban sanctuary cities and deport criminal illegal aliens.”
For the record, Bondi was gifted with a hefty $30,000 donation from Trump, then she immediately dropped the Trump University suit in Florida. Nothing strange there at all. We’re sure it was just a coinkydink of some sort.
As for the border wall, even though Trump promises that it’s being built, he’s also been sending out desperate tweets calling for it to be built ‘faster.’
We must have Border Security, get rid of Chain, Lottery, Catch & Release Sanctuary Cities – go to Merit based Immigration. Protect ICE and Law Enforcement and, of course, keep building, but much faster, THE WALL!

The former reality show star sounds a bit stressed out, don’t you think?
