Donald Trump and the misguided conservatives that can still manage to sleep at night while supporting America’s wannabe dictator are so wrapped up in Trump’s “Make America Great Again” cult that they don’t even realize how far from American this country has actually become. That’s why the Fourth of July tradition by National Public Radio (NPR) is currently causing so much upset among Trump supporters who are not okay with finding out that their president is as far from American values as they come.
Every year, NPR tweets out parts of the Declaration of Independence. This usually doesn’t stir up too much controversy, but it’s certainly gaining loads of attention considering how far this country has ventured from its roots.
While NPR’s tradition is not necessarily meant to be a critique of Trump, it’s certainly being taken as such — and it’s hard not to. Many lines in the Declaration of Independence, such as “A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people” are in direct opposition of Trump’s character and “leadership.” Already, onlookers on Twitter know that Trump and his minions are going to have BIG issues with this.

Already, it has caused some Trump supporters to have complete meltdowns:
There’s going to be SO MUCH more of this as the day goes on, as NPR will be continuing its line-by-line posting of the Declaration of Independence. While it’s certainly depressing to realize just how far this country has fallen, it’s interesting to see how Trump supporters react and deny what is very obvious about their president.
