Even though he has been the root cause of America’s tarnished relationships with our allies, Donald Trump is blaming the “Fake News Media” for making it seem like he was on thin ice with his fellow world leaders at the G7 Summit.
Trump has obviously forgotten that he insulted several of his G7 colleagues publicly (on and off Twitter), and continued to push horrible policies and suggestions that negatively impact our relationship with them. Yesterday, Trump responded to the photos that have been circulating from the G7 summit by blaming the media for sharing bad photos of himself and German Chancellor Angela Merkel — and made a pathetic attempt to show himself in a better light. Trump tweeted:
I have a great relationship with Angela Merkel of Germany, but the Fake News Media only shows the bad photos (implying anger) of negotiating an agreement – where I am asking for things that no other American President would ask for!”

Here’s one of the ‘bad photos’ Trump is talking about, which went viral several days ago:
Angela Merkel’s office has released this photo taken today at the G7, which tells you a lot about how things went. pic.twitter.com/IXX6K3ayys

First of all, Trump and no one else is responsible for the strained relationships America has with our allies now. This photo was posted straight from Merkel’s team — which truly gives a lot of truth to the not-so-flattering pictures the media has been circulating. Trump’s relationship with Merkel and other world leaders isn’t good and Trump is bitter because the images make it obvious.
Still, Trump continued to tweet out more pictures from the summit to disprove the “Fake News.”
The Fake News Media said that I did not get along with other Leaders at the #G7Summit in Canada. They are once again, WRONG! pic.twitter.com/I6eEKEZV6z

Some of these photos were clearly forced and posed, and G7 leaders such as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have since condemned Trump. Trump isn’t fooling anyone, and these reactions to his tweets prove it:
Aside from all that, the fact is that every one of the pictures Trump posted was taken before he screwed everyone else at the G7 over by refusing to sign the joint statement at the conclusion of the Summit. Of course they all looked a little nicer to him when they thought he might act like an actual grownup for just one day.
