Donald Trump’s strong hatred for Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is no secret, and the unhinged president decided to remind everyone again today. Earlier this morning, Trump indulged in one of his almost-daily Twitter meltdowns, which eventually turned into an attack on Bezos.
Trump was completely unhinged this morning as he jumped from grievance to grievance — he whined about everything from James Comey to Democrats to Fake News. Somewhere between all of that, Trump lashed out at Bezos by targeting the Washington Post (which Bezos owns). In his tweet, Trump actually tried to suggest that unionized employees at the Post should go on strike for better pay — and put a pause on “Fake News” for a little bit. Trump tweeted:
Washington Post employees want to go on strike because Bezos isn’t paying them enough. I think a really long strike would be a great idea. Employees would get more money and we would get rid of Fake News for an extended period of time! Is @WaPo a registered lobbyist?”
Is Trump serious?! The Washington Post has been highly critical of Trump since day one, and Trump is oblivious to the fact that the majority of people who work there probably LIKE bashing the Tweeter in Chief. Perhaps his outburst has something to do with the Post report out today that two officials in his campaign, Roger Stone and Michael Caputo, were just caught after having met with yet another Russian to trade secrets during the campaign.
Trump’s attacks on Bezos continue to get more outrageous and his jealousy of the successful billionaire is honestly pathetic at this point. This is just one attack in a string of several others from the past. Earlier this year, Trump made a fool of himself by repeatedly calling for higher postal rates for Amazon’s customers because he insisted that the United States Postal Service was being screwed by the online retail giant. Despite the fact that Trump’s claims were debunked many times (in fact, Amazon HELPS the U.S. Postal Service), the president continued to lash out at Bezos and spread lies.
Looks like he’s still not over it.
