Donald Trump has once again shown America exactly why he should not be President of the United States.
The president is not only ramping up his ridiculous, dangerous obsession with trade wars but he just enacted legislation that is just as humiliating as it is terrible. Trump just introduced legislation that breaks from precedent and destroys American interests by allowing him to negotiate one-on-one with other countries, international consequences be damned. If you know anything about Trump’s negotiation “skills” (which are nonexistent), that should scare you. But wait, it gets worse.
Trump has taken it upon himself to come up with a name for this bill, and he chose The Fair and Reciprocal Trade Act. In other words, the FART Act. Proving just how useless, ineffective, and amateur Trump’s entire administration is, the president managed to name this piece of legislation something as stupid and childish as FART and not one aide or advisor stepped in to warn or stop him.
Seriously, what will other countries think of us now? We just became an even bigger joke. Judging by the reactions on Twitter, no one’s happy about this and most Americans are hanging their heads in shame:

This bill is such a disaster (in tactic AND in name) that even Trump’s former White House Communications Director, Anthony Scaramucci, couldn’t help but trash the FART on Twitter:
There have been countless moments in Trump’s presidency where we have questioned whether this is truly reality or just the longest, worst nightmare we’ve ever endured. Unfortunately, this is just another one in a long list and there will be another depressing Trump action to follow it. I would love to see Trump supporters talk about how “presidential” Trump is while defending this bill.
