Julia Davis, a Russian Media analyst, reports on Twitter that Russia’s state-run TV news shows this week sent out an ominous warning to former reality show star Donald Trump. It’s been speculated that the Russians have something on the so-called president* and this just fuels that theory.
Davis, who founded and runs the Russian Media Monitor, sent out a tweet stating that Vitaly Tretyakov, the dean of Moscow State University’s School of Television, said that Russia should act decisively in response to the new sanctions and quoted him as saying: “Let’s turn this into a headache for Trump. If you want us to support you in the elections, do what we say.”

Apparently, Tretyakov believes they have leverage over Trump and is demanding that the sanctions be lifted. Trump has denied that Russia helped to elect him and even tried to claim that the hostile foreign power actually wanted Hillary Clinton to win (they did not want Hillary Clinton to win).
Trump stood next to President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki last month and discounted the determination by U.S. Intelligence agencies that Russia meddled in the 2016 election.
This week, Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul spent some time in Moscow hanging out with Russian officials and delivered a letter from Donald Trump to Putin. That, too, was discussed on Russia’s state TV news.
#Russia‘s state TV:@Dr_Ariel_Cohen: “We don’t know whether he [Rand Paul] delivered any secret messages from Trump to the Russian side. That is unknown to us.”
The host asks Konstantin Kosachev: “Did he or didn’t he?”
Kosachev, grinning: “It’s known to us, but I won’t tell.” ©️ pic.twitter.com/bajgKdLQeK— Julia Davis (@JuliaDavisNews) August 6, 2018
This is just embarrassing.
#Russia‘s state TV host says:
“Look, these T-shirts are now being sold in the United States and are in high demand in the Republican camp. It says, “I’d rather be a Russian than a Democrat.” Note how the trends change with the times.” ©️ pic.twitter.com/vxOwwNAJmG— Julia Davis (@JuliaDavisNews) August 6, 2018
It’s almost as if the Russians are mocking us over Republicans going all in for Putin. It’s almost as if our president* is being blackmailed.
