There is a space for former reality show star Donald Trump’s portrait at Colorado’s State Capitol but there’s a problem with that. There has been a total of zero donations given out of the $10,000 needed for that cause so there’s a noticeably blank space at the Capitol’s wall of presidential portraits. But, it was even more obvious after a prankster hung a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Trump’s designated space, according to Denver NBC affiliate, 9News.
Colorado State Sen. Steve Fenberg (D-Boulder) tweeted out a photo showing Putin’s portrait in the space where Trump’s mug would be featured. Just above it is Obama’s portrait.

As this Twitter user pointed out, it’s not as if Trump commands respect.
It’s not like the Trump administration encourages respect. pic.twitter.com/hdPtbejtYQ

Adding insult to Trump’s massive ego, according to Colorado Citizens for Culture, it typically raises money for presidential portraits within four months after taking the oath of office. The group says it was able to raise about the same amount of money within that time frame for the portraits for former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
This prank follows Trump’s disastrous joint press conference with Putin in Helsinki in which our so-called president* chose to side with a hostile foreign power, which interfered in our presidential election, over U.S. intelligence agencies.
Trumpsters can donate to have Trump’s face featured on the wall (and Trump likes walls) if they choose to and we’re fine with that. That would make $10,000 less that they can donate to Trump’s reelection campaign.
