If you didn’t think that Donald Trump could disgust you any more with his vile personality and sociopathic ways, get ready to be surprised.
Earlier today, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump actually bragged about how his attacks on National Football League players who dared to kneel during the National Anthem to protest police brutality and racism helped ‘lift’ him!
Trump’s statements were exposed by Dallas Cowboy’s owner Jerry Jones, who recounted a phone call he’d had with Trump during a sworn deposition. According to Jones, Trump was speaking about the controversy surrounding kneeling football players and told him:
This is a very winning, strong issue for me. Tell everybody, you can’t win this one. This one lifts me.”
The White House has spun Trump’s comments and stated that Trump was advising Jones on the best road ahead for NFL and America. The White House defended the disgraced POTUS:
The majority of the American people agree with the president, love our country, love our flag and believe it should be respected.”
Trump’s influence on owners of the NFL is a particularly prominent issue right now, as former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has filed a collusion lawsuit after being blackballed by the NFL for kneeling during the National Anthem and starting a movement. Trump’s attacks on Kaepernick and other kneeling players have been so severe that NFL owners were afraid Trump would go after them if they hired Kaepernick.
Trump’s crusade against protesting NFL players has been absolutely disgusting — he once even called Kaepernick a “son of a b*tch.” His attacks have been the driving force of the NFL’s new rules in which teams allowing NFL players to kneel on field will be fined. In a video interview, Trump stated that players should stand “proudly” for the anthem, but was upset protesting players would be allowed to stay in the locker room. He even suggested that protesting players “shouldn’t be in the country.” You can watch that moment below:
“You have to stand proudly for the National Anthem. You shouldn’t be playing, you shouldn’t be there. Maybe they shouldn’t be in the country…the NFL owners did the right thing” -President @realDonaldTrump pic.twitter.com/bt36t4EX5u

The fact that Trump has been outed for bragging about how he used peacefully protesting NFL players to elevate himself and his agenda should outrage everyone. We can’t say we’re surprised, but it’s hard to understand how one human being could be so evil.
