Donald Trump loves to take credit for things that he didn’t actually do. We’re seeing his lies in full force when it comes to the economy, jobs, and basically every other thing that he inherited from former President Barack Obama.
The latest accomplishment Trump is currently bragging about is the claim that he brought back the phrase “Merry Christmas,” perpetuating the ridiculous Fox News myth that there is somehow a “war on Christmas” because Americans have the audacity to respect the fact that there are other religions besides Christianity. Every year, conservatives go absolutely insane trying to prove that their religious beliefs are under attack because of more neutral phrases like “Happy Holidays,” and Trump was more than happy to try and stoke those fears.
Speaking to his gullible fanbase, Trump recently made a speech in which he congratulated himself for bringing back a phrase that had truly never even left. And to show everyone just how delusional and wrong Trump is, MSNBC found the perfect way to troll the unhinged president. In his segment, Chris Hayes completely tore apart the conservative myth that Obama was trying to derail the holiday — by showing SEVERAL clips of footage where Obama and his wife Michelle said “Merry Christmas.”

Sorry Trump, but you can’t bring back something that never left. Once again, Trump is overshadowed by the brilliance of his predecessor — as Obama remains one of his biggest insecurities as president.
Trump and his conservative buddies at Fox News, who have a ball every December crying about the “war” on Christmas, are going to explode when they see this.
