Kellyanne Conway has been Donald Trump’s right-hand adviser when he needs someone to do damage control after one of his innumerable meltdowns. But he may want to line up another choice, like his newly hired Communications Director straight out of Fox News — because Kellyanne actually said Trump should resign, and she did it on national television.
In a Sunday interview with ABC’s Martha Raddatz, Conway did her best to distance herself from the Roy Moore debacle when she stated that anyone who has mistreated a female should resign from office. While Conway is absolutely correct, she accidentally included her boss in that statement! Conway’s words were:
Let me say it one last time, the conduct as described is not just offensive and disgusting, it disqualifies anyone who has done it from holding public office. So let me go a little step farther if there’s anyone currently in public office who has behaved that way to any girl or any woman, maybe they should step aside, because, in a country of 330 million people, we ought to be able to do better than this.”
We all know that if anyone should resign for mistreating women and girls, Trump should be the first to go. Trump has not only had several allegations of sexual assault against him (one of which includes raping a minor), but there is video footage of Trump actually admitting to sexually assaulting women thanks to his infamous ‘grab ’em by the p*ssy’ comments.
So while Conway was simply trying to do Trump a favor and put some distance between Moore and the Trump administration, what she actually did was throw her boss under the bus and make a huge announcement about Trump needing to step down — on national television no less!
You can watch this insane moment below. We wouldn’t be surprised if Trump tries to fire Conway for this – but then again, who would lie for him?
