A Chicago bar and arcade found the perfect way to keep Trump supporters out of their venue and Cult 45 members are not happy about it. MAGA hats are no longer allowed in Replay Lincoln Park in an effort to maintain “a classy environment.”
“After much consternation and consideration and to maintain a ‘classy environment,’ Replay Lincoln Park has implemented a new and strictly enforced dress code,” the Facebook post reads. “No face tattoos, no specific hats, please see below. Let’s keep it classy Chicago. Sincerely, management.”
The post includes two pictures, one of a man with a tattoed face and another of a Make America Great Again hat.
“I was just frustrated and I just kind of wanted to make somewhat of a statement,” Replay Lincoln Park’s owner Mark Kwiatkowski told NBC 5. “I felt like we did have an opportunity to say something that might draw some attention to this ugliness.”
Comments poured in from both sides of the aisle. After one Trump supporter kept commenting, obviously upset at being banned, the management replied: “So the thing with this is it’s not so much ‘disagreeing with political advertising’ and more ‘families are in concentration camps and the current administration wants to build more.'”
As it happens, putting children in cages and separating them from their families isn’t very popular. Some other Trump supporters were triggered, too, with one writing, “Great business tactic… Fucking morons. XD #MAGA”
Kwiatkowski said that since he posted the new rule, no one has come in wearing Trump’s signature hat.
“I think what we would do is kindly ask them to remove [the hat] but we would let them in certainly and maybe have an opportunity to discuss all of this and see their opinions,” he said.
Kwiatkowski said that the response to his post has been “overwhelmingly positive,” but added that there are “some strongly worded posts against” the new rule.
This, of course, follows White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders being asked to leave a Virginia restaurant. Also this past week, White House adviser Stephen Miller was called a “fascist” while he was dining in a Mexican restaurant. Then, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was forced to leave a Mexican restaurant after people shouted “Shame!”
As for Trump officials being publicly ostracized, I don’t really care, do u?
