Donald Trump is giving everyone whiplash and creating chaos with his on-again, off-again approach to his foreign affairs. After seriously f*cking up and canceling the North Korea summit several days ago, the president has just announced that the June 12 Summit is once again happening.
Trump made this announcement just this afternoon, following a meeting with top-level North Korean official Kim Yong Chol at the White House. The official had met with Trump, giving him a letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in response to Trump’s initial letter, which stated the Tweeter in Chief was canceling the meeting. In speaking with the press, Trump refused to make any real promises:
We’ll be meeting on June 12 in Singapore.
It’s a get-to-know-you situation. We’ve gotten to know their people very well. It will be a process…The relationships are building and that’s very positive.”
And of course, Trump couldn’t resist making an insanely unpresidential statement while he was at it. Trump lashed out at the media for reporting the truth about how he botched the initial meeting. Speaking directly to reporters, Trump said:
The media said oh, you had a meeting and you canceled. I didn’t cancel the meeting. I canceled in response to a very tough statement. We’re over that, totally over that.”
You can watch Trump make this ridiculous announcement below:

We’ll see if this meeting actually happens — Trump still has quite a bit of time to screw things up again, and Kim Jong-Un probably won’t give him another chance. It’s just another day in Donald Trump’s circus.
