Former reality show star Donald Trump may have caved to pressure and signed an executive order to stop his own policy of separating children from their families at the U.S. border, but it was basically just theater — and he’s not a very good actor. There is no plan to reunite the children with their parents. The EO was so badly done that Donald even misspelled ‘separate’ on the order. The burden is now placed on the parents to find their children in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services and seek to reunite with them.
“For the minors currently in the unaccompanied alien children program, the sponsorship process will proceed as usual,” Health and Human Services spokesman Kenneth Wolfe told CNN.
So, nothing has changed really. But Attorney Michael Avenatti, who started out in the public eye just representing adult-film star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuits against Trump, is now ready to expose ICE.
On Thursday, Avenatti said that he’s now representing whistleblowers within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“We are now representing whistleblowers within ICE, outside contractors, etc.,” Avenatti tweeted. “They have reached out to us to provide us with info as to what is really going on. We are going to blow this wide open and take the info to the American people so they can decide what happens next.”

Recently, Avenatti said he will be representing some of the parents who have had their children kidnapped by the Trump administration.
“Looking forward to visiting detained children tmrw in Phoenix who were shipped there from Texas after being taken from their detained mothers (my clients),” Avenatti tweeted on Wednesday. “This will be their first ‘contact’ with their mothers in weeks. I will be delivering letters and messages of love and hope.”

Trump may think he’s made his bad decision-making go away by the mid-term elections by signing an EO, which was not required to reverse his own policy, but until all of those children are reunited with their families, and it doesn’t look like all of them will be, then this should follow the former reality show star around for the rest of his miserable life.
This isn’t just Trump’s Katrina. This is worse than President George W. Bush’s response to the devastating 2005 hurricane. Trump created this chaos. Bush could, at least, blame mother nature — Trump is a natural disaster of his own making.
