Donald Trump was in Richfield, Ohio today, giving a speech that was supposed to be about infrastructure. But true to form, Donnie went WAY off script, mostly because there just isn’t that much good stuff he can say about infrastructure.
His administration plans to implement a “piecemeal” approach to rebuilding the country, which is already silly enough, but on top of that, he’s killing the American steel industry with an impending trade war with China, he’s killing jobs in solar, and he’s trying his damnedest to overturn NAFTA, which would f*ck up not just our own economy, but those of Canada and Mexico as well.
And even if all of that sounds boring to you, it’s what he really should’ve stuck to, if he wanted coverage by the big news networks, because it seems that they’re starting to pick up on his bullshit. How do we know?
Because MSNBC, CNN, and even Fox News all cut away from Trump’s speech well before he was finished speaking.
Trump rambled on about all sorts of garbage that was unrelated to infrastructure, including the ratings for Rosanne Barr’s reunion show with the cast of her old show, featuring her as a Trump-supporting asshole who tricked her sister into voting for Jill Stein instead of Hillary Clinton.
Then there was the gem where he lied about the political affiliation of former SCOTUS Justice John Paul Stevens, a life-long registered Republican, when Stevens called for the repeal of the Second Amendment — calling him a Democrat, so he can further confuse Americans and pursue his agenda of dividing the country along political lines:
The networks finally got sick of Trump’s bullshit and went back to what they were talking about before. That really got under some skin at the White House, where Trump’s special assistant Steven Cheung thought he could point out the “friendly” network that stuck with the speech:

He was, of course, pointing out that Fox was still with Trump’s speech, while CNN and MSNBC had cut away. But even Trump’s BFFs at Fox only stuck around for a few minutes more:
Fox? They dumped out about 10 min ago…. https://t.co/flfOKtAYTX

Trump was humiliated, just like he is at every press conference. But that doesn’t mean WE can’t enjoy the disrespect.
